Course Description

This STS course is a series of on-demand and live virtual sessions that will offer cutting-edge information on robotic cardiac surgery, including mitral valve repair, coronary bypass, and other procedures. The online curriculum will be led by world-renowned surgeon instructors with successful track records in robotic surgery. 

The course is designed for surgeons and teams interested in starting a robotic cardiac surgery program, as well as experienced surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, perfusionists, supporting program administrators, and other team members seeking to enhance their skills. The course includes six sessions composed of prerecorded, narrated video lectures and demonstrations, each enhanced by a live webinar featuring an interactive panel discussion. A course director will moderate each live panel, which will feature faculty from each session and an audience Q&A.

Course Schedule

The online curriculum will roll out one session at a time over a 6-month period. Registrants will receive an email when the session and its materials are available so that they can self-pace through the recorded curriculum prior to the live webinars. The livestream platform will include a chat function through which attendees can ask questions and share feedback. Each live panel discussion will be recorded and added to its respective online session, to which registrants will have access until December 31, 2021.
