1. Acceptance of Terms: By using CORA, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use CORA.
  2. License: The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (“STS”) grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use CORA and any results for your personal or internal business purposes only, subject to these Terms of Use. No rights are granted other than as expressly set forth herein.
  3. Restrictions: You agree not to:
    1. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, circumvent security for CORA.
    2. Attempt to download large amounts of information from CORA, whether through automated querying or otherwise.
    3. Use CORA for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
    4. Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notice from CORA or its responses.
    5. Share, distribute, or create derivative products with CORA without prior written consent from STS.
  4. Intellectual Property: All intellectual property rights in CORA and in the materials from which it provides responses, including any associated documentation and whitepapers, remain the sole property of STS. 
  5. Disclaimer of Warranties: CORA is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. STS does not warrant that CORA will meet your requirements or that its operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.  STS does not guarantee the accuracy, or the completeness of the results provided. Without limiting the foregoing, STS expressly disclaims all warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose with respect to CORA. You understand that you rely on CORA at your own risk.
  6. Limitation of Liability: In no event shall STS be liable for any losses, damages or claims whatsoever arising out of or in connection with your use of CORA, including but not limited to lost profits, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages in connection with any usage of the responses given by CORA. Without limiting or waiving the foregoing, you agree that your maximum remedy, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed $100. 
  7. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold STS harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of CORA.
  8. Termination: STS may terminate your access to CORA at any time for any reason, without notice or liability.
  9. Changes to Terms of Use: STS reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Your continued use of CORA following any published changes indicates your acceptance of the modified terms.
  10. Governing Law: These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, United States of America.
