House of Medicine:
A Diverse Physician Workforce is Critical for the Future of Medicine
As organizations representing physicians, we are united in our commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within medical education and the healthcare profession. We firmly believe that a diverse and inclusive healthcare workforce is essential for improving patient outcomes and reducing health disparities. Medical schools play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare. Attempts to restrict or eliminate initiatives within medical schools that create a more robust and diverse physician workforce only hinder progress toward a more inclusive healthcare system.
Together, we affirm our unwavering support for diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical schools and pledge to continue advocating for policies and practices that encourage a more diverse physician workforce and enhance the care of all patients.
